David Gardiner (1738-1774)
6th Proprietor of Gardiner's Island, New York
He graduated from Yale and became the 6th Proprietor of Gardiner's Island in 1764. He built what was the third manor house on Gardiner's Island (see images) in 1774, which burned down in 1947. He married Jerusha, daughter of Rev. Samuel and Jerusha (Meacham) Buell. They had two children, both sons (listed).
