She was active in many charitable organizations in Jamaica Plain, including the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood House Association, and volunteered with the American Fund for French Wounded during World War I. She traveled extensively throughout Europe, North Africa, Mexico, and the American West. She died unmarried.
