Christina (Robertson) Claxton (1858-1948)
Mrs "Christine" MacDonald (Robertson) Claxton
She was married in Montreal to Frederick J. Claxton (1856-1947), a Lieutenant in the Prince of Wales' Regiment. In 1890, he founded the town of Claxton in British Columbia, co-financed by Christine's brother, A. Stuart Robertson, who joined them as Justice of the Peace and Postmaster. They were the parents of at least two daughters (Enid and Agnes) and a son (Fritz Robertson Claxton). By 1927, the Claxtons were resident at San Francisco, California, where her husband died in 1947.
