Charles Minot Amory (1889-1936)

Stockbroker, of New York City & Palm Beach, Florida

He was born in Boston and was educated at Groton School before graduating from Harvard (1912). He became a stockbroker in New York City and was a member of the Racquet & Tennis, Turf & Field and Deepdale Golf Clubs. His first wife, Gladys, was a granddaughter of Joseph Pulitizer, and they had two children together. They divorced, and in 1928 he became the fourth husband of Margaret Emerson. They were well-known for entertaining extensively, particularly in their winter villa in Florida.
