Charles Alexander Munn (1852-1903)

of Munn, Orr & Co., New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Palm Beach

He emigrated from the City of Derry in Northern Ireland in 1870. Arriving in New York, his uncle, Alexander Ector Orr, helped him establish Munn, Orr & Company that engaged in wholesale provisions & slaughterhouses. Munn expanded the business into Chicago in 1875, and in 1885 he moved on to Washington, D.C.
