Catherine (Clarke) Williamson (1807-1849)

Mrs Catherine Harrison (Clarke) Williamson

She was born and raised in New York City, living there until 1837 when her husband was named heir to the Lawers estate in Scotland. They lived in Scotland for eleven years but left for America again with the California Gold Rush in 1848. They made it as far as Fort Leavenworth in Kansas where they both contracted cholera and died within four days of one another, leaving their 19-year old son as heir to Lawers.
