Alexander Longridge (b.2008)

Alexander Longridge was born on the Upper East Side, New York City and is a member of the Longridge family of England, a gentry family that can be traced back centuries with a vast history of land ownership, industrialism, and militarism. The name "Longridge" traced back to William Longridge Esq of Lancashire in the 13th century. Alexander's family originates from Northumberland as landowners and members of the Church who relocated to London and Gloucestershire in the mid 19th centurty. The Longridge's were industrial elites who after establishing Britain's earliest railways with George Stephenson (1781-1848), established the first railways in France, India, Argentina, Switzerland, and many other places. They worked with many famous British engineers and industrialists such as their cousin, Sir Daniel Gooch Bt and IIsambard Brunel. The Longridge family has also held several links to famous military leaders such as the King of Thailand, Lord Roberts of Kandahar, the Duke of Wellington, Lord Louis Mountbatten, Lord Hugh Dowding, and Lord Bernard Montgomery.
