Albert Gallatin (1761-1849)

U.S. Minister to the U.K. & France; U.S. Senator & Secretary of the Treasury

His fortune was estimated at $150,000 in 1846. He married Hannah, daughter of Commodore James Nicholson, the ill-suited Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Navy. They had five children of whom three (listed) survived to adulthood.
