Abraham Gould (1732-1777)

Colonel Abraham Gould, of Fairfield, Connecticut

He was Colonel of the 4th Fairfield Regiment. He was killed at the Battle of Ridgefield in 1777 and his body was taken back to Fairfield slung over his horse. Two years later, the British torched his home and many others at Fairfield.
