The DeWolf Farm
Bristol, Rhode Island
Built in 1798, for "Farmer John" DeWolf (1760-1841) and his wife Susan Reynolds (1759-1838). Farmer John was the brother of William DeWolf who built Hey Bonnie Hall and they were the uncles of the reviled George DeWolf who built Linden Place. "The Farm" passed down through John's family to the children of the revolutionary ship and yacht designer, Nathanael G. Herreshoff (1848-1938), brother-in-law of the noted landscape architect John DeWolf (1850-1913) who also lived here.
