William Wood (1808-1894)
Merchant Banker, of Glasgow, Liverpool & New York City
He was President of the New York Board of Education and President of the St. Andrew's Society of New York. Aside from his own business that traded with Trinidad, his uncles gave him a one-twelfth interest in the firm of J. & A. Dennistoun. He died at his home in New York, 4 West 18th Street.
