William Whitney (1816-1862)
William Whitney, of New York City & Morristown, New Jersey
He was born at 25 Pearl Street, New York City. He became a gentleman-farmer and had, "a fine country-seat near Morristown," New Jersey. In 1843, he married Mary Stuart McVickar and they had five children. He died at his city residence, 11 East 26th Street, New York, where his widow continued to reside.
