William Walton (1706-1768)

Shipping Merchant, of 326 Pearl Street, New York City

He made his fortune plying a fleet of ships between the southern ports, controlling the carrying trade of St. Augustine, "the Spaniards being especially friendly towards him". He died without children and left his house and business - both inherited from his father - to his nephew, William Walton.
