William Vincent (1786-1834)
Colonel William Vincent, of the 82nd Regiment; died without issue
He joined the 49th Regiment in 1800 and in 1803 accompanied his uncle, General John Vincent, to Upper Canada. He later transferred to the 82nd Regiment and was promoted from Captain to Major in 1813 and placed on half-pay in 1816. In 1818, he married Frances Blood, daughter of William Blood (d.1801), Solicitor, of Gardiner Street, Dublin, and Ballysheen, Co. Clare, who was murdered by a highwayman near Kildare. Colonel William Vincent predeceased his parents and died without children.
