William Paca (1740-1799)

U.S. Founding Father, Chief Justice & 3rd Governor of Maryland

He had three children by his first wife (Mary) of whom only their son, John (listed above), survived to adulthood. He had one son, Henry, by his second wife but he died in infancy before the age of one. He had a daughter, Hester, by a free black woman named Levina who he raised as his own and sent to "the finest boarding school in Philadelphia" but otherwise nothing else is known of her. He also had an affair with one Sarah Joice by whom he fathered Henrietta, the only other child to survive him.
