William Morris Meredith (1891-1918)
Capt. William M. Meredith, of the 1st King's (Liverpool) Regiment
He was born in London and named for his father's uncle, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, William Morris Meredith. He was educated at Horris Hill; Eton College; and, Christ Church, Oxford. In 1916, he married Louise, daughter of Major-General Sir Francis de Winton. He died of influenza contracted on service in WW1.
