Col. William Libbey, Jr. (1855-1927)
of "Thanet Lodge" Princeton, New Jersey; Professor, Mountaineer & Olympian
He was Professor of Physical Geography at Princeton University; the first white man to ascend Mount Princeton in the Rocky Mountains; twice a member of the U.S. Olympic Rifle Team; and, was a Colonel in the New Jersey National Guard.
