William, 3rd Lord Shaughnessy (1922-2003)
The Rt. Hon. William Graham Shaughnessy, C.D., 3rd Baron Shaughnessy
He was born in Montreal and educated at Bishop's College School, Lennoxville. He served with distinction as a Major with the Canadian Grenadier Guards at the beaches in Normandy during World War II. He then took a degree in Journalism at Columbia University, New York. He was Executive Assistant to the Canadian Minister of Finance and President of the Royal Commonwealth Society at Montreal.
