William Forsyth (1687-1759)

Merchant in Huntly, Aberdeenshire; 3rd of Tailzerton

His grandfather (son of James Forsyth M.P., for Cullen) was Minister to the Church at Airth and inherited the lands of Tailzerton and Kilsyth Easter from his mother, the daughter of Sir William Livingston of Kilsyth. William was described as a "merchant in Huntly" and was granted the Freedom of Glasgow in 1735.
