William Fitzhugh (1741-1809)

of "Chatham Manor," Continental Congressman & Virginia State Senator

He built Chatham Manor (see images) in Stafford County between 1768 and 1771 which served as their home, and although altered it still stands today. He also built Ravensworth as a home for the overseer of their estates in Fairfax County.
