William Bradford DeWolf (1810-1862)
Farmer, of Bristol, Rhode Island
He was a first cousin of George DeWolf who built Linden Place. William lived all his life at Bristol and his notable son-in-law (Lloyd Aspinwall) recalled him as, "a practical farmer, Mr DeWolf had no superior in the state; he could coax from mother earth the largest returns for the labor of the husbandman. He could always exhibit the finest of cattle, th best horses, with an excellent assortment of those smaller animals which help to constitute a farmer's family".
