William Amherst (1732-1781)
Lt.-Colonel William Amherst, M.P., of Ryde, Isle of Wight
He was the younger brother of Field Marshal Jeffrey Amherst, of Montreal Park, Kent, the Commander-in-Chief of the British Army that captured Quebec.
