His wife had previously been courted by Sir William Osler which prompted one socialite to say: "Well - another lucky escape - for of all the deadly uninteresting humourless women ever created, Mrs. Molson was the greatest - with a thin high-pitched voice and a silly giggle and stingy! William Osler you were lucky indeed!"
