Washington Rogers (1810-1854)
Washington Rogers, Ship Engineer
He was the son of steamboat entrepreneur Captain Moses Rogers. Washington was the "outstanding" ship engineer on the steamboat Arctic and went down with her in 1854. He had married laura Ann Elton in 1831.
