Walter Horstmann (1858-1922)

He was born in Philadelphia and was educated at the University of Pennsylvania. He was became President of the textiles manufacturing form established by his grandfather. He was a member of the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia; Historical Society of Pennsylvania; the American Folklore Society; and, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He married Margaret, daughter of Isaac Dixon, and lived at 238 South 13th Street (pictured), Philadelphia.
