Maj. Walter Abbott (1867-1919)

Merchant, of Boston & New York; Member of the American Red Cross

He was born at Boston and grew up at 406 Beacon Street. He worked for his father's mercantile firm first at Boston and then in New York. In 1912, at Paris, he married Helen Jaffray. They lived in Boston, but during WWI he entered the service of the American Red Cross. He died with the rank of Major in 1919.
