True Worthy Hoyt, of St. Louis, Missouri

He was described as a Litterateur (writer), printer and dry goods merchant, of St. Louis, Missouri. He was President of the St. Louis Literary & Philosophical Society. His poems included "Victon Vrudelphi"; "4th July, 1866"; "An Oration on Washington"; "The Right of Slavery, 1860"; "An Oration on the Immorality of the Soul as shown by Nature & Revelation" etc.
