Thomas Sergeant Perry (1845-1928)

Faculty Member of Harvard, Editor, Critic, Literary Translator & Historian

He was a childhood friend of Henry James with whom he attended Reverend W.C. Leverett's school in Newport, Rhode Island. James introduced him to the celebrated stained-glass artist John La Farge who went on to marry his sister, Margaret. Perry married the artist Lilla Cabot Perry, and they had three children.
