Thomas Resolved Williams (1881-1982)
Import Merchant, of 43 East 80th Street, New York City & Lawrence, L.I.
He was the senior partner in the importing business of Ichabod T. Williams & Sons of New York City, which specialized in rare woods and veneers. It was founded by his great-grandfather in 1838 and closed in 1973. He was a director of the Chemical Bank, the Niagara Insurance Company, a trustee of the New York Community Trust, and President of the Rockaway Hunting Club of Cedarhurst, L.I., and divided his time between New York City and Lawrence, L.I. He is survived by a son, Ichabod T. of Hillsdale, N.Y.; two daughters, Barbara W. Throop of Lawrence, and Sybil K. Dukehart of Jarretsville, Maryland.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
