Stephen Henry Olin (1847-1925)

LL.D., Lawyer of 400 Park Avenue, New York City & "Glenburn" Rhinebeck, N.Y.

His summer home was built on land that was originally part of the Linwood estate that had belonged to his mother's grandfather, Thomas Tillotson, who inherited the land from his wife, Margaret, daughter of Judge Robert R. Livingston, of Clermont. Tillotson bequeathed the land to Olin's mother when she was twelve years old and she later built the house there that she named "Glenburn". Olin's daughter, Alice, built "Foxhollow Farm" on part of the Glenburn estate with some land purchased from the Grasmere estate. He had two daughters by his first marriage.
