Samuel Thomas Willett (1829-1916)
S.T. Willett, of the Manor of Chambly, Quebec
He grew up at Chambly and inherited the Chambly Manufacturing Company from his father in 1865. He built an hydroelectric plant and dam to power the factory which lter became part of the Montreal Light, Heat & Power Company. He was President of the Montreal, Boston & Portland Railway Company which he later electrified, becoming the Montreal & Southern Counties Railway, of which he was the founding President. He was the Mayor of Chambly for 33 years and through his industry employed 175 people. In 1849, he married Lucy Pamela Andres (c.1830-1905) and had four children. In later life, he was married for a second time to Sherill Findlay (1873-1937).
