Samuel Shaw Howland (1849-1925)
Jr., of New York City & Europe
He was, "formerly interested in racing and a prominent clubman". He spent his latter years travelling in Europe and died at Monte Carlo. His first wife, Frederica, was the sister of the well-known Belmont brothers (Perry, August Jr., Oliver etc.) and after her death he married Mrs Leslie Mosby Wallace and took up residence at the Ritz Hotel in London.
