Samuel Pomeroy Colt (1852-1921)

Colonel Samuel P. Colt, Attorney-General of Rhode Island

One of the "robber barons," he founded the National Rubber Company having stolen it from behind the back of Augustus Osborn Bourn (1834-1925), 36th Governor of Rhode Island. He was also a founder of the Industrial National Bank and was later appointed Attorney-General of Rhode Island.
