Samuel Gerish Wyman (1809-1883)
Samuel G. Wyman, of Baltimore & New York City
Born in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He died without children, leaving an estate of $1.25 million. He built the Brexton Hotel, which became the property of the Mary Byrd Wyman Fund, a charity dedicated to the "education of girls of respectable but needy parents."
