Samuel Adams (1722-1803)

"Father of the Revolution" Governor & President of the Massachusetts Senate

He was the politician and political philosopher who led the movement that became the American Revolution, and was one of the architects of the principles of American Republicanism that shaped the political culture of the United States. He was a Founding Father and a second cousin of President John Adams.
