Ruth Elinor Page (1903-1987)

Mrs Ruth Elinor (Page) Burke, Shotts

Her first wedding (October 3rd, 1925) to Franklyn Burke Jr. was, "a typical American society country marriage" held at her parents' country home on Long Island, Norwich House. It did not last. In 1929, with her brother-in-law, the Flying Ace Howard Burdick acting as Best Man, "society was surprised to learn" of her second marriage to Rupert E. Shotts, at the Hotel Drake. They remained happily married.
