Rosewell Saltonstall (1701-1738)
of Branford (on the Rosewell estate), New Haven Co., Connecticut
He was the eldest surviving son of the Governor of Connecticut and lived between New London, Hartford, and Branford on the estate he inherited from his mother's family. He also inherited his father's estate on Lake Saltonstall, five miles from New Haven, but did not live there, renting it out instead to local farmers.
