Sir Roger Hale Sheaffe (1763-1851)
General Sir Roger Hale Sheaffe, 1st Bt., Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada
He was a Loyalist General in the British Army, born at Boston, Massachusetts. In 1810, at Quebec, he married his cousin through his mother's family and they had six children, two died in infancy and the other four predeceased them.
