Robert Homes (1694-1727)
Shipmaster, emigrated to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts; lost at sea
He was a native of Strabane, Co. Londonderry, in Northern Ireland and emigrated to Martha's Vineyard circa 1700 with his father, Rev. William Holmes (d.1745), who became Pastor of the Church in Chilmark. He married the sister of Benjamin Franklin and had three children of whom only one (listed) had children.
