Robert Gould Shaw, Jr. (1815-1853)

Merchant in the China Trade of 44 Beacon Street, Boston

He was the uncle of his famous namesake, Col. Robert Gould Shaw, commander of the 54th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the black infantry unit that saw extensive combat during the Civil War.
