Richard Montgomery Gano (1775-1815)

Gen. Richard Montgomery Gano, of Georgetown, Kentucky

He was born in New York City and in 1788 moved with his parents to Frankfort, Kentucky. During the War of 1812, he was Colonel of Scott's Regiment at the Battle of the Thames and was promoted for gallantry at the end of the war. He died at Georgetown, Kentucky.
