Rev. Cornelius C. Cuyler (1783-1850)
D.D., Pastor at Poughkeepsie & Philadelphia
He was born in Albany, New York. In 1806, he graduated from Union College and three years later (1809) was ordained as Pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church at Poughkeepsie, New York, remaining in that position for 25-years. In 1834, he accepted a position as Pastor of the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, which he held for the remainder of his life. For many years, he was President of the Board of Trustees of Jefferson Medical College.
