Pieter (Claesz) Wyckoff (c.1620-1694)

Pieter (Peter) Claesen Wyckoff was born in the village of Norden in the Holy Roman Empire (present day East Friesland, Germany) about 1620. His parents are unknown. He died at Brooklyn, Kings, New York Colony, June 30, 1694, and is buried at the Flatlands Dutch Reformed Church on Long Island, New York.

Pieter married Grietje Van Ness born about 1625 and died about 1701) at Rennselaerswyck, New Netherland (present day New York City) about 1645.  Pieter and Grietje raised 11 children.

Peter emigrated to America in 1637, as an indentured servant to Kiliaen van Rensselaer.
