Peter Van Brugh Livingston (1751-1770)
Merchant at Jamaica, West Indies; died in early manhood unmarried
He was born either at his parents' mansion on Dyke Street, Manhattan, or at their country home on Brooklyn Heights. After graduating from Princeton he joined his elder brother, Philip, in Jamaica in the West Indies where the family owned considerable property and was already profitably established in commerce. In 1770, he boarded a ship at Kingston for New York but it was lost at sea, him with it.
