Outerbridge Horsey (1819-1902)

II, Whiskey Distiller, of "Needwood" Frederick County, Maryland

He started life as an attorney but on inheriting the Needwood plantation (originally acquired by his maternal grandfather, Governor Thomas Sim Lee) from his father he established a whiskey distillery there to which he dedicated the rest of his life. He married Anna, daughter of Lt. George Richard Carroll, U.S.N. They had four sons but only his namesake (listed) married and had children.
