Outerbridge Horsey (1910-1983)
IV, Diplomat & U.S. Ambassador to Czechoslovakia (1963-1966)
He was born in New York City and was educated in England at Downside School, Somerset, and Trinity College, Cambridge, before returning to America and graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He entered the U.S. Foreign Service and was First Secretary Consul at Rome (1947-1955); Deputy Chief of Mission in Tokyo (1956-1958); Deputy Chief of Mission in Rome (1959-1963); and, U.S. Ambassador to Czechoslovakia (1963-1966). He lived in Washington D.C.
