Orson Adams, of Oak Hill, Maryland; President of the Commercial National Bank

He was born in Somerset County, Maryland. In 1858, he joined the Bank of Commerce in Baltimore and rose to become President, relocating to New York. He kept a summer house, Oak Hill, near his wife's native Baltimore and when it burned down he rebuilt it with 27-rooms.
