Ogden Goelet II (1907-1969)

of the South of France & Italy

He was the eldest son of his father, but his parents divorced when he was seven years old and his mother went to live at the Chateau de la Napoule in the South of France with her second husband, Henry Clews Jr. Ogden II was married four times, three of which ended in divorce. He was survived by his fifth wife (married 1963), Sara (Haigh) Goelet, and his two children, Ogden Jr., and Mrs Enid McNeil. He died at Florence in Italy and is buried in the tower at the Chateau de la Napoule with his mother, stepfather (Henry Clews Jr.) and his last wife, Sara.
