Morris Forsyth (1771-1828)

Rev. Morris Forsyth, Minister at Mortlach, Banffshire

He was a Church of Scotland clergyman but was compensated with just over £10,000 for the loss of his slave/plantation interests on St. Lucia, likely inherited through his or his wife's (Isabella Donaldson, of Kinairdie) family.
