She was first married to Major John Redmond Walsingham Meredith who died in 1916 during the First World War. They had one daughter, Diana. In 1919, she was married at Holy Trinity Brompton in London to Major Frederic Angus Wanklyn whose aunt, Mrs Elspeth (Angus) Meredith, was the wife of her first husband's uncle.
